TITANS Season 3 To Premiere This August On HBO Max As The Cast Hypes The Dark And Mysterious New Direction

After releasing its first two seasons on the now-defunct DC Universe, the third season of Titans will debut this August on HBO Max. Highlighting this intriguing shift in platforms, the cast of Titans hyped the show in the teaser below.

In season 2, the show saw the demise of Donna Troy, although it was hinted that Raven's ever-growing powers may eventually reach a level where she's able to bring her back. The second season also saw Cadmus and Lex Luthor lose control of Superboy, and it's likely they'll be looking to recoup their loses in season 3.

While the first two seasons of Titans were hit and miss, many DC Comics fans are hoping that the shift to HBO Max will iron out some of the wrinkles. While streaming on DC Universe, the show clearly wanted to be a dark and gritty TV-MA drama yet remained in TV-14 territory as way to attract a wider audience. Fans are hoping that the move to HBO Max will result in the show fully embracing its adult undertones.

In addition to following up on Starfire's storyline with Blackfire, season 3 will also see Barbara Gordon, Tim Drake and Scarecrow appear. With season 3 premiere just a few months away, expect new footage to be released fairly soon, likely in the coming weeks.
