Deadly Class fans were treated to a hell of a surprise when the first episode of the TV adaptation went online this morning. SyFy is currently hosting the pilot for free via its YouTube channel to get viewers pumped up for the series' actual premier on January 16th.

The pilot introduces audiences to Marcus, a homeless teenager in 1980s America who gets recruited by a school for the next generation of deadly assassins. It's a chaotic, action-packed, fever dream of a show complete with a punk rock soundtrack and aesthetics.

The episode is co-scripted by original Deadly Class writer Rick Remender (Uncanny X-Force, Agent Venom, Low) and executive produced by Avengers: Infinity War directors Anthony and Joe Russo. Catch the entire first episode below.

Deadly Class follows a disillusioned teen recruited into a storied high school for assassins. Maintaining his moral code while navigating a ruthless curriculum, vicious social cliques, and his own adolescent uncertainties may prove fatal. Set against the backdrop of late 80s counter culture, Deadly Class is a coming of age story unlike anything you’ve ever seen. Based on the smash hit comic series of the same name by Rick Remender.

I watch the premiere episode and its solid. Good acting great storyline. And most of all it isn't cheesy. Like most teen drama like the CW stuff it's all about looking good and having a good soundtrack.
