Well... holy sh*t.

After another exceptional installment, Watchmen left us with its best cliffhanger yet as it was revealed tonight that not only has Doctor Manhattan not been living on Mars, he's actually been hiding in plain sight on Earth disguised as Cal Abar (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) - and that wasn't the only kicker, as we also learned that Angela (Regina King) has known about his whereabouts since the very beginning.

Now, with Cyclops/Seventh Kavalry closing in on the Abar residence to presumably kill Doctor Manhattan and take his power for themselves, it'll be up to Angela to put up a last stand and protect the man she loves.

Darla from Shazam! as young Angela was a pretty cool coincidence, which makes her the third DC films actor in this show (fourth from a superhero film in general since Blake Nelson was in Hulk/Fant4stic). The slowed piano cover of Life on Mars reminded me of the slowed piano cover of "Where is My Mind" from the second season of Lindelof's Leftovers, worked incredibly well for this scene. Showing the blood in Looking Glass' bunker before showing all the corpses was a sneaky move, but seeing that my boy Wade is still alive is awesome. That trial scene was pretty wild, only two more episodes to go to tie this Ozy stuff in with the greater story at large.
I wonder if they'll structure next week like Chapter IV from the comic? Probably favorite issue of all time
