Y: THE LAST MAN - Get Your First Look At Some Footage From FX On Hulu's DC Vertigo Adaptation

FX on Hulu's adaptation of Brian K. Vaughan's Y: The Last Man officially commenced production in Toronto last October, and the streamer has finally revealed our first snippets of footage...

To say FX on Hulu's upcoming adaptation of Brian K. Vaughan's seminal comic series Y: The Last Man has not had the smoothest of journeys to the screen would be an understatement, but filming finally kicked-off late last year, and we now have our first look at some footage.

It's very brief, but the TV spot below gives us a glimpse of chaos in the streets as congresswoman Jennifer Brown (Diane Lane) and her daughter Hero (Olivia Thirlby) react to the situation.

Still no sign of series lead Ben Schnetzer, who replaced Eternals actor Barry Keoghan as Yorick shortly after the pilot was picked up to series.

Y also lost its original showrunner, with Eliza Clark taking over from Michael Green and Aida Mashaka Croalin. Later, Ashley Romans (I'm Dying Up Here; NOS4A2) and Olivia Thirlby (Dredd; Juno) were brought in to replace originally cast Lashana Lynch and Imogen Poots as Agent 355 and Hero Brown, respectively.

No reason was given at the time, but chances are scheduling conflicts became an issue when production was delayed.

Louise Friedberg is directing the first two episodes from Clark's script. All Season 1 episodes will be helmed by women, but the other directors have not been revealed.

Y: The Last Man also stars Amber Tamblyn, Marin Ireland, Diana Bang, Elliot Fletcher and Juliana Canfield.
