Hayley Atwell Teases Where AGENT CARTER Season 3 Would Have Gone
During her appearance at MegaCon, Agent Carter series star Hayley Atwell teased what a third season of the show would have explored while reaffirming her commitment to the character...
Given that the second season of Agent Carter ended on such a huge cliffhanger, Marvel fans were left disappointed when it was announced that the show would not be returning for another season on ABC. In an appearance at MegaCon in Orlando, Flordia, Agent Carter star Hayley Atwell spoke briefly on the cancelled show and where it would have gone had it been picked up for a third season. "There was talk of Season 3 of going further back into her past," she explained. "So the showrunners were talking about a possible kind of twist, I suppose, into something to do with the family. They suggested there would be more to do with my brother. So that's all I can say."
Despite the show being cancelled and Atwell moving on to a new series, the actress remains fully committed to the character and the series as a whole, and reaffirmed this to the crowd at MegaCon. “I love Peggy,” said Atwell. “I love the people that were working on this project together. The fans are incredibly warm and welcoming. And it would be an absolute privilege and honor to bring her back for the fans. I'd shoot on the weekends. Blue serum. Whatever it takes," she said to racuous applause from the audience. It's currently unknown when we'll see more of Peggy Carter; the character recently passed away in Captain America: Civil War, but appearances in flashbacks aren't out of the question, as we saw during her brief appearance in Ant-Man.
