AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.: The End Is Coming In The New Promo & Photos For Season 5, Episode 10: "Past Life"

After a pretty eventful hour, get ready for even more madness next week as Coulson and his Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. make a last-ditch effort for home, but as the latest promo reveals, this coming decision could actually lead to the beginning of the end for the AOS universe as we know it.

Plus, it also sounds like fans will learn the identity of Kasius' mysterious seer. Henry Simmons (Mack) teases, “Let me tell you, when I first found out who this person is, I was shocked. People say, ‘Oh, it’s shocking,’ but no-no-no, I was shocked.” His on-screen partner, Natalia Cordova-Buckley (Elena), adds this little nugget about the upcoming reveal. “You have no idea…. You have no idea.”

In light of the Sokovia Accords, and with Hydra obliterated, S.H.I.E.L.D. has been legitimatized again and no longer needs to operate in the shadows. Since the world presumes that Coulson is dead, the organization needed a new Director (Jason O’Mara) to be the face of the organization. Coulson finds himself back in the role as an agent and teamed with Mack (Henry Simmons), and together they are tasked with tracking down and confirming the presence of Enhanced people, aka Inhumans. They have been trying to track down and capture Daisy (Chloe Bennet), aka Quake, who has gone rogue in an attempt to atone for sins from the past. But with the world believing that Daisy is a dangerous outlaw who has taken down banks and bridges, the new Director has no qualms about taking her down for good. Agent May (Ming-Na Wen) is tasked with training specialist strike teams, and Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) and Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) have taken a big step forward in their relationship. But with Simmons’ new promotion as Special Advisor to the Director in Science and Technology, Fitz, as well as her former team members, finds it hard to confide in or trust her since she’s now the Director’s confidant.

It looks like it will be an intense mid-Season finale better than the Ghost Rider one of S4. That is a good thing.

@NinnesMBC - True, though last season's mid-season finale was crazy AF as well. And it had one of my favorite scenes from last season, so beautiful and awesome. But this upcoming episode looks even more intense.

anyone else think that the yo-yo in the promo looks older. im thinking she is kasius's seer. it would make sense considering how quickly he recognized her. plus if im not mistaken, inhumans age slower than normal humans, meaning she could still be around

i got loki in the first avengers vibes from kasius during the stand off. the kree shield staffs even looked a bit like his staff in the movie

robin showed may that the zephyr would fly again way back in 2022

@lemric - Jesus, shit is getting crazy in SHIELD. I also have a feeling that Yoyo could be the seer. We never saw her die when she went to go fight the Kree.

Regardless of that, the fact that he recognized her and knew her name suggests how long he has been there (but if she had been his seer, why wouldn't he have known what was going down; perhaps its another member of the team then??). So much to unpackage from that scene and its implications.

@lemric - And yes, Kasius did start to give off a Loki-ish vibe, especially his comment about how humans were meant to be ruled or something. Kasius is a great villain, he's now fully unleashed after he got one upped.

@HeavyMetal4Life - he seemed surprised to see her, making me think he didnt know she was one of the ones to travel through time. i think this was kasius's first trip to question her about them. if he had been asking his "seer" about them from the beginning, he would have known exactly who and how many had come through time, as well as the fact that fitz was a fake. he would have been many steps ahead of them
