Jesus, what a crazy awesome freaking badass insane balls to the wall on the edge of your seat episode. It might just be my favorite episode of the season. It had some incredible, incredible moments. And also some pretty violent and brutal moments. I'd argue this was one of, if not the most violent episode of SHIELD's history. Between Fitz decapitating several Kree soldiers, to Kasius slitting old Yoyo's throat, to Kasius beating the crap out of Mack and finally to Mack splitting Kasius's chest open with his shotgun axe, it was a bloody awesome episode.

Speaking of Kasius, I thought that he was fantastic in this episode. What a great villain we've had so far this season, one of the best Marvel TV villains for sure. To see his transformation throughout this season was pretty great. A really multi-layered character with a lot of depth. A great portrayal from Dominic Rains. Love that we saw Kasius slowly losing his mind talking to Sinara's body this episode, and then his unleashed power taking the TAHITI drug (pretty neat they brought that back). Really great. I had a theory that he would play a role in the time portal and agents going back. I was right, but wrong in how it played it. I thought he was going to send something back with them to destroy Earth for his taking in the future, but he wanted to prevent it from being destroyed so that his father would have a lush paradise to conquer. Interesting.

The Seer twist- saw that coming!! It didn't shock me as much as it probably did others because I had guessed that was old Yoyo, but really neat way to tie in the time loop and the scene from the flashback.

I think we got one of the most beautiful moments of the show's history in this episode. When Flint goes out into space to assemble rocks (that by itself was awesome) and we get a really instrumental piece played over as everyone rushes around set to the background of Flint, that was wonderful. Really fantastic and lovely. Well done SHIELD, well done.

Deke had some really funny moments in this episode. Enoch as well. Both were great, and it was touching that they would make the final sacrifice for their friends. And very interesting re Coulson slowly dying.

What a fantastic episode and fantastic first half of the season.

got to be honest, i was so sure deke was going to make it back with them. jeff ward has been so good. i still have a sliver of hope since he was standing in front of a piece of the monolith, but it is minuscule.

also R.I.P. enoch. we hardly knew thee
