The upcoming fifth season of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has found itself a new recruit in the form of Descendants actress Dove Cameron.

The show's official Twitter account confirmed the news with the video below, which shows Cameron preparing to spill some details on her role before being interrupted by Clark Gregg (Phil Coulson).

Will she be playing an established Marvel Comics character, or a new creation for the series? We'll find out very soon because Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns this Friday.

My daughter and all of her friends love Descendants, so guess it'll be cool if they use her fan base to bring more kids to comic book movies and shows. Both of my kids enjoyed Thor Ragnarok but it was the first one my daughter sat through, whereas my son loved GOTG.

She actually has a pretty big following, she’s one of the bigger stars (sadly) to appear on the show, curious to see who she winds up playing, it will be a bigger role I’m sure

This girl is beautiful. She also has acting potential. I saw this (pretty bad) movie called barely lethal. It was pretty bad, But she was good in it.

@Superheromoviefan - *sigh* This is probably the best comic show on TV. But I am guessing that either 1. your only frame of ref on this show is the first half of season one or 2. (and most likely) You have never seen it and are a blind troll.
