in all honesty i porbably would watch it if i had the time, but i heard how boring the 1rst season is and how you gotta get through alot of the show to the good parts, and in all honesty if you use the sentence "once you get through" refering to an entire 1rst season or whatever, than its not very likely im going to watch it

I've enjoyed AOS right from the get go,but this "Other S.H.I.E.L.D" storyline is bullshit,COMPLETELY undermines Coulson's position as Director

I consider myself a Marvel fan, but I just can't take this show seriously, especially after Daredevil (even 'Agent Carter').

@MisterHolmes, why not start watching season 1 from episode 13. Thats when a lot of cools things really start picking up and before serious tie ins to CA: TWS, you may be left with some questions regarding how the team came together but if that doesn't bother you you should find it pretty enjoyable. Just a suggestion.

I think Coulson has been in contact with the Avengers since he took over shield. The opening segment of the movie, so I understand, is the avengers taking down Von Struker in the base that Coulson discovered n the arctic. I think next week will be a direct hand off from the tv show to the movie.

How cool is that.

Fury said that GH325 was developed to save a dying avenger. He considered Colson part of the whole Avengers thing. He used Coulson's death to bring the team together. Coulson's death was the thing they Avenged. He is working with them doing intel and SHIELDy stuff but has been hiding it from the rest of the team, and us as well.

I think the opening episodes are actually quite good. It is obvious that the show and characters are developing but that is the fun part. Investing the time and energy in the early episodes make the origin stories pay off. You can binge watch them on Netflix and catch up.

I don't want to spoiler anything, but the base Coulson is talking about is NOT the base that the Avengers attack.

They are separate. The Avengers DO NOT KNOW COULSON IS ALIVE.

I think they talked about 2 bases in the last episode. They said Strucker was at one and then there was another leader. So my guess is that Coulson's team takes out the Antarctic Base while the Avengers go after von Strucker... also that Maria Hill [Cobie Smulders] is the link between the Avengers/Fury and Coulson/SHIELD, which would explain how Coulson is still a secret, yet the teams work in tandem.

Gonzales is a complete and total [frick]ing douchebag. At no point did the writing make him seem like an equal to Coulson and failed to create intrigue that there might be a remote possibility that Gonzales might come out the better man. Not to mention what does it say about Bobbi that she's too [frick]ing dumb to NOT trust Coulson? She elected to be on the team of a one-legged man in an ass kicking contest. It makes her character a circus clown boner.

This show is God awful. That clip is just awkward. Agent Carter sucks too. Only show that kills it is Daredevil. The rest are just sad to watch.
