A new batch of photos from the set of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier have been revealed and as well as showcasing a potentially spoilery moment, Adepero Oduye has been spotted alongside Anthony Mackie.

With shooting now well underway on The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, more photos from the set of the highly anticipated Disney+ TV series have started popping up online. Firstly, we have a blurry image of what is clearly some sort of stage which will be used to introduce the world to the new "Captain America" U.S. Agent in a football stadium.

Clearly, the government is going to get fully behind John Walker as Steve Rogers' replacement but with Sam Wilson wielding the shield, this is all bound to lead to some sort of clash.

In related news, some newly surfaced photos of Anthony Mackie on set have revealed that The Big Short's Adepero Oduye has joined the cast of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Rumour has it she's playing someone close to the hero so common sense says she'll either be Sam's sister, Sarah Wilson, or possibly even his comic book girlfriend, Leila Taylor.

She may be none of the above, of course, and we'll hopefully get some official news soon.

@Vigor - the symbol we already saw on the concept art? The government supporting him which we already knew? This isn’t news we knew this.

@peterquill - I think this further adds credibility to things we believe may happen

I don't remember it ever being CONFIRMED U. S. Agent is a government sanctioned superhero
(common sense says so, but common sense does not equal confirmation)

Your right that it is an assumption, this picture does nothing to further that other than add speculation. Every other article from josh is concept art or set photos that brings jack shit to the table. It’s cool that you enjoy this and I respect that, what I don’t respect is that this site used to be much more news oriented and has devolved into the just a series of clickbait to get a paycheck.

Wyatt Russel is kind of underrated IMO. That said, I'm having a little trouble envisioning him as US Agent.

Oooh I guess the US government or some other organisation is gonna be promoting US Agent as the new Cap.

@Necropolitan - Makes sense. As hinted at in FFH, everyone is probably wondering "Who's going to protect us?" now that Tony and Steve, and to a larger extent, The Avengers are gone or not really in the picture anymore. The Gov't is probably scrambling to 1) reassure the public that they are "safe" and 2) have superheroes they can control this time (see Sokovia).
