With all the talk about Black Widow likely getting her own solo movie in the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it's only fair that her closest friend in the Avengers gets some time to shine as well.

One Twitter user has decided to roll with this idea, designing a poster for a Hawkeye Netflix series that has been murmured about in the past. While the series might never happen, at least @CyberSheff's poster is pretty awesome.

Check it out below:

As Tom mentions in his tweet, the poster is inspired by David Aja's stylish artwork from 2013's Hawkeye Vol. 1. The poster definitely captures that feel, while incorporating the more tactical costume Hawkeye wears in the MCU.

There's also a version of the poster that features Kate Bishop, who is a key part of the Hawkeye Vol. 1 story.

It would work if he wasn't going to die in Avengers 4.

@gulducati - Nobody will die. They will be reborn by Doctor Strange.

A Netflix Hawkeye series could work. With a retired Clint Barton who becomed the target of a rogue Ex-Shield agent who wants to settle a debt.

Perhaps in a mission with Hawkeye, Widow, and the rogue agent the rogue agent was left for dead due to orders of Nick fury. But the agent never died and wants to assassinate Clint and his family out of revenge.

Could be a fun Taken like series.

@SonOfAGif - it seems like a waste to give him a Netflix series and not adapt the matt fraction run.

He desperately needs a Netflix series. The MCU is doing him dirty. The animation of Hawkeye is the best adaptation by a wide margin. Justice for Hawkeye

As someone who really isn't a fan of Hawkeye (not that he is bad by any means, his character just doesn't appeal to me) I think his character would be better suited to a Netflix series as opposed to a solo film.

Not only because his "power set" is relatively easy to bring to television (I can't see vision get a tv show) but because out of all the Avnegers he has the least a out of screen time and focus as he has only been in the Avngers films (+ civil war; whihc I count as an Avenegrs film anyway).

I'm all for it, if you can get the pieces arranged.

Although, the overall Fraction premise may be a better fit for Falcon. He's sort of the everyman snarker of the MCU Avengers.
