Hawkeye is set to begin shooting next year, but Jeremy Renner is already training for his return as Clint Barton and it's believed pre-production may have already started.
With that in mind, it's no wonder there's so much speculation about this video shared by the actor. As you can see, he's having a head cast made, presumably for the Disney+ TV series given the timing. What does this mean? Well, typically, an actor would have to sit in the makeup chair for this process if they're going to wear something on their face, such as a mask, for example.
With concept art showing Kate Bishop in a bright purple costume, it would make sense for Hawkeye to have a similarly colourful suit, even if it's just in flashbacks exploring his past (bear in mind that there are rumours Barton's brother, Barney, a.k.a. Trickshot, is set to appear in some form).
We'll have to wait and see, but fans would be very happy seeing this original costume for the character brought to the small screen in Hawkeye when the series finally arrives on the streaming service.
