HAWKEYE: New Update On The Disney+ Series Points To Hailee Steinfeld Still Being Marvel's Top Choice

Hawkeye is expected to begin shooting this summer, and with Jeremy Renner recently taking to Instagram to confirm that he's started training for his return as Clint Barton, Marvel Studios needs to find their Kate Bishop sooner rather than later. Well, following reports that they've started meeting with other actresses, we now have an update on the situation.

While Steinfeld remains the studio's top choice to play the Marvel Cinematic Universe's new Hawkeye, it does indeed appear as if they've started looking at other possibilities for the role.

However, there's said to be an ongoing effort behind the scenes to sort something out with the Bumblebee star, even if it means potentially casting her in a different role somewhere down the line. Clearly, the two sides are keen to work together, and providing her deal with Apple TV can be figured out, then Steinfeld could still join Renner in this Disney+ series.

Over the years, Marvel Studios has proved that they have an eye for casting, so regardless of who suits up as Hawkeye here, fans will probably end up being happy.

Of course, it may be hard not to think about how great Steinfeld would have been...
