The first two episodes of Hawkeye clocked in at a little over 45 minutes each, but the third and fourth chapters of the Disney+ series could be disappointingly short. Find more details right here...

When it comes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it's hard not to be greedy. Despite us getting nine episodes of WandaVision, for example, fans were often disappointed by the runtime of each instalment, always wanting just a little more. As for Hawkeye, the first two episodes clocking in at over 45 minutes each was by no means a bad thing as it gave the story plenty of space to breathe.

However, insider Amit Chaudhari (who frequently shares a lot of accurate runtimes for Marvel movies and TV shows) has now revealed that the combined runtimes for Hawkeye episodes 3 and 4 will be 80 minutes in total. They could be 40 minutes each, or one might be 30 minutes and the other 50 minutes; either way, this is probably a little less than some fans were hoping for.

Still, with a total of four episodes left, there's plenty of room for this story to continue to play out in a satisfactory way.

Marvel Studios managed to cram a lot into that two-part opening, anyway, and fans have already fallen in love with Kate Bishop. On Wednesday, we're anticipating the spotlight shifting to Echo.

In our review, we said"Marvel Studios is once again sleigh-in' it with Hawkeye, an unmissable Christmastime team-up bringing holiday cheer to the MCU with top tier storytelling delivered in the Mighty Marvel Manner and a bold, brilliant new hero in Hailee Steinfeld's Kate Bishop."

Check back here on Wednesday for all the biggest reveals from Hawkeye's third episode.

What the hell is this obsession with the episodes runtime?

@Moriakum - I guess they want Endgame-length episodes?

@Moriakum - I mean I feel sort cheated if I get less than 40 mins of actual content on weekly shows. I fount Wandavision sort of frustrating when i'd get a 30 min episode with seemingly 12 mins of recap and credits.

@Spagett - Disney made it clear that they wanted their shows to be as long or short as they needed to be. This is to be expected.

Disney+ is cheap and I'm happy to get what we get.

@Moriakum - well, they say "6 hours of content" and when you do the math is nowhere near that. Plus, you have to wait one entire week for a few minutes because 1/4 of the episodes are the credits. Seriously, I see the progression bar when the credits start rolling and its that close. When they say 30 minutes, they mean 20. What a joke.

@DarkDetective - The first two episodes have 5 minutes of credits. In fact, the first episode only has 4 minutes of credits. That's nowhere near the 1/4 mark.

@Moriakum - it's 2021. People have a hard time grasping the concept of "quality over quantity".

40 minutes is perfectly fine for an episode of a TV show, it’s not that serious

Just make stuff as long as it needs to be.

Who cares, as long as the story is good.

@SpaceAgent - comic shows and movies have story’s all it is good vs bad sometimes good makes bad sometimes bad makes good good always wins in end

@SpaceAgent - I gave up reading his sh*t a long time ago. Even if I could get through the horrible grammar, a lot of what he says doesn't make much sense.

And from what I've seen, it doesn't matter what you or anyone says to him, he's not going to change.

What with this speaking for the people?

40 minutes is quite long if the pace is right

I'm a bit greedy myself. With the prices of streaming services these days I want as much content as I can get for the money I'm putting out, within reason of course. A good paced well written story is the main criteria obviously but I'd be more than happy with runtimes that reach a good 50 minutes or more. But that's just me.

Feels like only yesterday there were tons of complaints that the Netflix shows were 13x1hour episodes and now 6x40-45minute episodes are also bad.

Marvel: *insert they can't keep getting away with this Gif*

The only thing I don't like is that they market these shows as 6 hours movies, while the total runtime doesn't even come close to that (even if you count the credits).
DarkDetective
DarkDetective - 11/29/2021, 9:17 AM
@Unites - thank you, i find that frustrating when you have to wait one week only to be given crumbs. Easch episode should have consistent lenghts. Whats that shit where one episode runs for 30 minutes and another 50?

“..could be disappointingly short” Are you high? What are you babbling about? They will be aprox. 5 min shorter, boo hoo cry me a river.

LSHF - 11/29/2021, 8:47 AM
@RokoVII - I'm imagining millions of Disney+ subscribers crying rivers of tears over this tragic news.

Seriously, Disney was concerned about was series episodes running longer than they should, without "filler", so this should be good news.

But, we're used to click-bait articles.
SerKurtWagner
SerKurtWagner - 11/29/2021, 7:28 AM
40 minutes is fine, I guess. They just need to keep their number of storylines in check if they’re not willing to make these shows longer.
BritishMonkey
BritishMonkey - 11/29/2021, 8:07 AM
So what's the problem?
Outside of the credits the main episode was about 30-40 minutes anyway. This is fine.

@BritishMonkey - There is no problem; except for the need for click-bait articles.
DarkDetective
DarkDetective - 11/29/2021, 9:22 AM
@BritishMonkey - well, i dont wanna wait one week for 20 minutes because at least 10 minutes of the runtime are credits.

Next we'll get an article if the end-credits are a minute shorter.

Oh, no! They made the show as long as it should be, with no filler for the sake of keeping each episode the same length!
