Marvel Studios has dropped a new promo for Hawkeye that drives home the fact that this series will deliver a Christmastime adventure like nothing we've ever seen in a superhero franchise before.

Iron Man 3 is the closest the genre has ever really come to a story set during the holiday period, and it looks like Clint Barton is going to be thrust into a crazy set of circumstances over the course of this Disney+ series. The same can be said for Kate Bishop, though, as we see more of her as Ronin here.

"It's genuinely not what you expect from Marvel [Studios]," Amber Finlayson (Bert) tells GamesRadar+. "It's an absurd Christmas story. Just starting from that point, tonally, I was tickled. What does that mean? And it's throughout the whole series. It's not what you're expecting it to be."

The first reactions for Hawkeye land on Friday, November 12 (Disney+ Day), so you'll want to check back here then for our take on the last Marvel Studios TV series to hit the streamer in 2021.

"Set in post-blip New York City, former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. Possible? Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a Super Hero," reads the synopsis for the series. "The two are forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit."

Starring Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye and Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, Hawkeye also features Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James and newcomer Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez. Helmed by Rhys Thomas and directing duo Bert and Bertie, Hawkeye is set to debut exclusively on Disney+ on November 24, 2021...with the first two episodes!

Looks pretty good to me!

The only Disney+ series I have loved so far is Loki. Wandavision had some cool moments but was a total flop (especially with it’s finale) and Falcon and TWS was cool but also dropped the ball on the finale as well. I’m hoping it’s smooth sailing from here on out. I’ll give them a pass on the What If? series (that’s mixed at best IMO) since it’s animation and outside their wheelhouse.

The one thing I hate about the Disney+ shows and this is more of a gripe not full hate. I hate how we have to wait so many more years for these characters to show up in something again because Phase 4 is focusing on new heroes and storylines. We have no idea when we will see Captain America (Sam) again or even Vision and Bucky.

@SonOfAGif - Due to the large volume of films and show (and guest appearances), at least once every four years. At least. Team-ups are becoming more of a thing in the MCU (they make more money) because people love to see them, and Kevin knows and understands the demands for seeing these characters often. He also knows that actors age, and so he will "want" to use them often.

It's all about the writing; and they will make it happen.

Besides, new heroes need older ones to work with and learn from.

I could be wrong (of course), but my money is on me.

I wasn't expecting anything. This way I'm not disappointed.

I still like to believe that they both had the story outline for a solo Black Widow and solo Hawkeye project ready before Endgame and based on that they decided which story could've worked better as a prequel and which a sequel and thus who of the two was gonna sacrifice his/herself. Nothing to back this up with though.
