HAWKEYE Season Finale Will Reportedly Be The Longest Episode Of Any Marvel Studios TV Show So Far HAWKEYE Season Finale Will Reportedly Be The Longest Episode Of Any Marvel Studios TV Show So Far

There's an awful lot of story Marvel Studios needs to cram into the final episode of Hawkeye next week, and it's now been confirmed that it will have a much longer than usual runtime. Read on for details!

Heading into the season finale of Hawkeye, there's an awful lot that needs to be addressed if we're to get a satisfying conclusion. The latest instalment introduced a major new threat, while Clint Barton and Kate Bishop still need to deal with Maya Lopez, the Tracksuit Mafia, and Yelena Belova.

Then, there's the biggest question of all: will Clint make it home in time for the holidays?

There are a lot of dangling plot threads that need to be resolved in some way, even if there are plans for a season 2 (and we certainly hope there are). Thankfully, the Hawkeye finale looks set to have a giant-sized runtime; an insider who has shared accurate runtimes for each episode of the Disney+ series reveals that it will clock in at 59 minutes.

Prior to this, the longest episode of any Marvel Studios TV series on Disney+ was the fifth episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. "Truth" was over an hour with credits, but without, it was nearer 52 minutes. Based on the Tweet below, we're assuming Hawkeye's finale will be 59 minutes before the credits roll. Either way, it's a suitably lengthy instalment that should give the story the room it needs.

You'll want to check back here on Wednesday for our spoiler-filled breakdown!

Had a feeling this’d be the case, feels like the story only really started gaining steam in episode 4

@Cap1 - Right? Feel like this is the one Marvel show that should've been a movie.

@KWilly - yeah think a faster paced movie would’ve worked it wonders. Lots of great plot strands, just a bit too drawn out

I've enjoyed the f#ck out of every episode of this show, and I've also enjoyed all of the Christmas music.

With 20 extra minutes of credits and recap

@Crtdacct2say - I've always said, if it wasn't for recaps and end credits, there wouldn't be any.

@LSHF - the recaps just feel weird to me, given that they describe these shows as 6 hour movies. If watched like a movie (back-to-back) the recaps only break up the experience I'd say

@bkmeijer - Yes. They just become another thing we have to skip over along with the credits.

So many loose ends to tie up in one episode; it's going to crammed with lots of action, explanations, and conclusions.

I wonder how many loose ends they will deliberately leave for future shows/films.

So far, all of the links seem to be working.

Anyone still having issues with the functionality of this site?

Do we think we will get kingpin next episode or do you think he will be saved for echo.

@Grodd87 - post credit stinger, most likely

@Grodd87 - think a cameo at best. Eleanor seems to be more tied to Clint and Kate's story, whereas Kingpin is probably best saved for the Echo show

@Grodd87 - I think he’s going to threaten someone. It seems there’s no way for him not to show up. He’s been alluded to the whole show and if he wasn’t going to show up I think they would’ve shown that picture at the last episode.

Also, he’s confirmed to be in New York with them.

This show has beyond exceeded my expectations... i dont want to see it end but i'm very much looking forward to seeing how these plot lines conclude... unless they leave us with a cliffhanger for a S2, like Loki did.

@MotherGooseUPus - my guess it will leave stuff open, but most likely for the Echo show.

About time. They keep calling these shows 6 hour movies, yet no episode actually clocks in at about an hour

Don’t get me wrong, I love this show, and I LOVE Kate Bishop, but I don’t even know if I’d put this above Falcon and the Winter Soldier. FATWS is underrated IMO.

WandaVision is still my favourite, because it was literally life changing.

Let’s see how Hawkeye closes out though :)
We’ve still got FISK to do some damage and I can’t wait.

@mrbaconsock - I really like FATWS too, while on the other hand I'm not that big on either WandaVision or Loki. What If is just sorta there all over with top notch episodes like Strange Supreme and Infinite Ultron, but pretty boring one like the Party Thor and Killmonger ones
MeAreLegend
MeAreLegend - 12/16/2021, 10:30 AM
@bkmeijer - I do not mind FATWS as much as others do and WV and Loki are pretty decent looking back at them. I just really think that What If really could have benefited from having 45-50 ish episodes instead of half an hour ones. It would surely help with pacing issues which I noticed in some episodes. But covid considered I can let that sort of slide

bkmeijer2 - 12/16/2021, 10:38 AM
@MeAreLegend - agreed. In my opinion they just all talked too fast (like they don't breath between sentences)
