It's only been around a month since the second season's debut, but Netflix has already gone ahead and officially renewed Marvel's Jessica Jones for a third season. Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones), Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker), Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth), and Eka Darville (Malcolm Ducasse) are all expected to return.

While the second season wasn't nearly as well-received as the first, Ritter's fan-favorite portrayal of the superheroine remained as strong as ever and carried the series from start-to-finish. With the second season finale leaving Jessica at odds with both Trish and Malcolm, we're surely in for an interesting season three as she embarks on a new mystery without her two closest confidantes. Plus, if that bit with the cell phone was any indicator, we may also finally get to see Trish Walker suit up as Hellcat.

Next up on the docket is Luke Cage season two, which is set to premiere on the streaming service on June 22. We'll then be treated to the long-awaited Daredevil season three, which is rumored to hit in the 4Q of this year, Iron Fist season two, which will likely arrive at the top of next year, and The Punisher season two, which is currently filming and will probably hit summer 2019 if Netflix sticks to its current release schedule.

After a tragic ending to her short-lived super hero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City.

Jessica Jones features:
Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones
Rachael Taylor as Patricia "Trish" Walker/Hellcat
Eka Darville as Malcolm Ducasse
J. R. Ramirez as Oscar Arocho
Terry Chen as Pryce Cheng
Leah Gibson as Inez Green
Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth
Janet McTeer as Alisa Jones
David Tennant as Kilgrave/Purple Man

Jessica Jones season two is now streaming.

After the garbage fest that was season 2, and how they handled every character except for Malcolm, I have zero interest in a future season. Unless there are changes behind the scenes, such as a different showrunner and/or getting rid of the forced mandate on writers or directors (whichever it was), I actually think I will be skipping season 3. I have zero confidence they can redeem themselves and create a quality third season, and I don't think I can put myself through another 13 hours of season 2-level episodes.

@Kevwebsz - I went from being very excited to see her, to hoping I never see her again.

@HeavyMetal4Life - I like hellcat in the comics (the few ive read with her) She seems very smart and funny but in JJ shes so annoying. The best I can hope for is shes becomes a real hero and a more likable character so basically a 180

Great! Didn't like season 2 as much as seaosn 1, though. I think they should make just 8 episodes in stead of 13 (so they have a higher budget and the pacing will hopefully be faster).

Season 2 needed another villain and they should have kept the revelation of her mom being still alive longer a secret.

Still love the humor so much. I love JJ more than DD to be really honest.....
