Yeah, Loki just went there.

After being pruned by Judge Renslayer, the God of Mischief wakes up in a desolate setting and wonders if he's died and is in Hel. He's not, but a familiar voice tells him that he will be unless "you come with us." It's Richard E. Grant, and he's suited up as the classic comic book version of Loki!

As you can see below, Marvel Studios has pulled this older Loki's costume straight off the page, and it looks amazing.

In the credits, Grant is listed as "Classic Loki," with Jack Veal playing Kid Loki and Deobia Oparei cast as Boastful Loki (when we caught a glimpse of him in the first trailer, it looked like he might be Thor).

The destroyed Avengers Tower can be seen in the background, and it seems that these pruned Lokis have all come together on this world for reasons that aren't entirely clear. Could the whole point of the TVA be to destroy or imprison every version of the trickster? If so, that makes us think another Loki is pulling the strings, but it clearly isn't going to be one played by Grant.

Then again, it's also possible someone else is gunning for Loki - Kang the Conqueror, perhaps?

Check out an amazing screenshot from Loki's unmissable post-credits scene below:

@marvel72 - they would never introduce kang in the series, the big guns are saved for the cinema.

Can definitely see all the Loki's sitting down for a beer after this is all over, something like the shawarma scene or the end of many of the HISHE videos.

When Mobius let himself got pruned so easily, I figured he knew there was something more to it. Nice that this gives that some sort of confirmation (also Loki getting pruned didn't feel surpising at all).

As for what this place is, I'm guessing it is the time equivelant of the Devil's Anus. Everything that's pruned just ends up on this Earth in this timeline. Including Mobius.

@bkmeijer - I saw others suggesting its Limbo (which was ruled by Immortus/Kang) and I think that would make a lot of sense.

@SerKurtWagner - yeah saw that too. @TheIronDock even mentioned Mephisto is connected to that place too. Not saying how much we'll see, but it would flipping tables cool

This show went from Se7en starring Loki to Into the Loki-verse

@KWilly - I’m just gonna be that guy and say that the whole Se7en comparison is just nonexistent. Nothing about this show provides me with Se7en vibes. I love the show but I’m just sayin.

Richard E. Grant's classic costume is awesome! Is he 616 Loki?! So cool. Love it.

It would be great to see a dark Thor hunting the Loki. The TVA offers a bounty for each Loki and he becomes a dangerous bounty hunter. Someone similar to the villain Donald Blake.

Maybe in the second season.

Kinda wish Richard E Grant's costume looked less like a Halloween costume (even if it is comic book accurate) but HOLY SHIT THIS SHOW IS GOING ALL KINDS OF PLACES AND I'M LOVING IT
SethBullock
SethBullock - 6/30/2021, 10:05 AM
@AC1 - Same here, I think it looks too goofy and too much like the halloween costumes in Wandavision, I think a Loki would never want to dress like that even if it's comic accurate, I think it could be comic accurate and somehow still look less goofy and more menacing, but I guess the director wanted him to look funny or something, just feels like a rehashed joke from Wandavision, but it made more sense there.

@AC1 - Agreed. Feels like, again, disrespect to the source material. "Hey, how can we make the classic costume look as dumb as possible?"
