LOKI Social Media Reactions Point To The God Of Mischief's Series Being Marvel's Best Disney+ Show Yet

The first social media reactions for Loki have arrived prior to the review embargo lifting on Tuesday, and any reservations you may have had about the God of Mischief holding his own in a TV series will soon vanish. As you can see below, the response has been overwhelmingly positive, with the vast majority praising the Disney+ series as Marvel Studios' best yet.

That's no easy feat after both WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier impressed, but it's looking like Loki is going to be on a whole other level if these reactions are any indication.

There's not long to go until fans can make their own minds up, of course, but the critics featured here were able to watch the first two episodes (only one will premiere on the streaming service this Wednesday). Based on past experience, that will be it for advance screeners, so critics and fans alike will be on even footing from week three onwards.

This week, we'll have plenty of coverage for you, including a breakdown of that premiere, a closer look at the show's biggest reveals, and some unexpected casting news.

In Loki, the imperious God of Mischief, who, after absconding with the Tesseract, is a fish-out-of-water when he lands in a world of trouble with the bureaucratic TVA (Time Variance Authority) steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame.

Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron directs Loki, and Michael Waldron is head writer. Recently, we learned the show will premiere on Disney+ on June 9th, 2021.
