It seems there will be even more of heroes like Ms. Marvel, Inferno, and America Chavez to come as new information has come to light. While the feature-length animated film is set to debut later this year, the character designer for Marvel Rising seems to have indicated that the project will serve as a launching platform for a TV show.
Given the fact that animated specials have often led to being a full animated series in the past (one example being The Clone Wars television series, the pilot of which recieved a theatrical release). It also explains why the character designs invoke a similar feel to other Marvel animated series on Disney XD, such as Avengers Assemble and Marvel's Spider-Man. As to where the show may debut, seom have speculated that the younger-skewed Marvel HQ channel, which is home to several of Marvel's other animated releases, Disney XD, where Marvel's animation stable has debuted so far, or possibly the upcoming Disney streaming service.
