FOX's upcoming X-Men universe series The Gifted has been getting rave reviews all summer and in just two weeks, the world will get to finally meet the Struckers and join them on their quest for survival!

In the wake of Marvel's The Inhumans essentially crashing-and-burning with fans and critics alike, it looks like another Marvel series is actually gearing up to win the fall as FOX's X-Men spinoff series The Gifted has been earning high marks all around from early reviewers, which should certainly bode well for the show's prospects when it premieres on October 2.

The eagerly-awaited series follows the Strucker family, who after discovering that their two children have both developed mutant abilities, are forced to go on the run and join together with a band of underground mutants in order to ensure their family's safety.

A FAMILY IS FORCED TO GO ON THE RUN ON THE ALL-NEW SERIES PREMIERE OF "THE GIFTED" MONDAY, OCTOBER 2, ON FOX

Set in the "X-Men" universe, family adventure series THE GIFTED tells the emotional story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their teenage children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family seeks help from an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive in the all-new "eXposed" series premiere episode of THE GIFTED airing Monday, Oct. 2 (9:00-10:01 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Action-adventure family drama THE GIFTED, from Marvel, tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. This show will work because of divergent, twilight, and hunger games. This generation need to be told they're special and being different is good.

@Polaris - I understand why they have chosen to focus on a family (it appeals to most people = more views) but I do hope as the show progresses that eventually it transitions to the point were Polaris and others (blink, warpath etc) are the main characters.

I'll check it out when the season 1 box set is for sale. There is never enough time for a single dad to sit and watch a show! A DVD I can sit on until I find the time. I've got 27 discs to watch right now!
