Does it really matter? Thought that was just a means to getting Woo to Westview.

@regularmovieguy - I'm genuinely wondering at this point if it was actually planned or if they're just saying this because people have been talking about it.

@regularmovieguy - my immediate assumption is that he's looking for Loki. It would be a relevant reveal if it meant Randall Park was going to be in that series too. Guy is a great actor, love to see him in more Marvel stuff.

@regularmovieguy - there was always going to be an actual witness according to the writers it just didn't effect the wandavision plot so they were never going to put him in the show.

@Hulkh8liars

What’s the point in including something for him down the line?

From the caliber of the other answers the director and writers have given about the show’s “mysteries,” wouldn’t be surprised if this was said just to save face and there isn’t/was never a plan for the witness.

@foutleysrage - the missing person is Peter Ian Staker. Jimmy's asking around for a "P.I. Staker".

It only matters if this person is actually important. Otherwise who cares.

@BlackBeltJones - Really didn’t care either, apart from all the theories. Is it just me or are all these interviews with the showrunner and director kinda ruining things... the showrunner said before the theories she had never heard of Mephisto 😒 like really you make a Scarlet Witch series and don’t research her comics? Mephisto’s a pretty big deal lol

If my FBI agent isn't like Jimmy Woo I want none of it

It's Reed! No... It's Blue Marvel. No WAIT... It's Memphisto.

The missing person is a Skrull. A sleeper agent. He has lived for years as a normal citizen and has a family.

I get we as fans probably anticipated too much from this show, and made up wild theories that ended up disappointing our expectations.

But the more and more these guys talk about WandaVision, the more it reminds me of Snyder trying to correct throwaway theories for Justice League.

I'm still going to keep my money on elements such as this payong off in the Ms Marvel show. Just seems way too coincidental that the show was set in New Jersey, and featured an anomaly that mutates peoples DNA and grants them superpowers.

He's getting his own mini-series isn't he?

Well there's the messed up chronology of when these shows were supposed to come out. So I guess this isn't an answer we'll get in FaTWS.

I just want more Jimmy Woo in all of the shows and movies. That is all.

He is absolutely fantastic.
Twenty23Three

So they realised that they set something up and never went back to it, not even a hint. I’m sure when they write something in for it down the line it’ll be praised as genius storytelling though haha

@Twenty23Three - thats the modus operandi around here. I'm still in disbelief at an article calling the pietro bohner reveal as the smartest twist in the entire mcu. And all they could really say about it is that it subverted our expectations. That's how far the bar has been lowered.
Hulkh8liars
Hulkh8liars - 3/14/2021, 9:47 AM
@Twenty23Three - the writers said after episode 4 that there was a witness and that they couldn't say weather or not he would be in the series. I don't know why everyone seems to think this is some added element...why would they add a witness if there wasn't originally one? They certainly wouldn't do it to make a few nerds who are mad at them happy.

@Hulkh8liars -
Honestly, it all sounds like nonsense.

WandaVision sold itself by trying to attract every audience, misleading fans and generally making promises or teases to things that never happened or were just utterly terrible. Expectations have been lowered and Phase 4 currently is looking pretty bad.
