WANDAVISION Spoiler Recap And Discussion For "Episode 7"

This week's WandaVision had a lot of talking points, and we've barely scratched the surface with our previous articles! Continue reading for a spoiler-filled breakdown of everything that happened...

WandaVision kicks off the morning after the night before, and Wanda Maximoff is all too aware that she used her powers to expand the Hex. She's also in no mood for Tommy and Billy's complaints about their video game (which has been jumping from decade to decade). However, Wanda also notices that things appear to be glitching around her, and seems genuinely concerned she's losing control of the perfect reality that she seemingly created in Westview. Back in the real world, Director Hayward and S.W.O.R.D. are regrouping, and in the Hex, Vision comes across the circus. He spots Darcy - who is an escape artist in this reality - and proceeds to restore her memories before they head off together to find Wanda. At home, she tells the twins that Pietro is not their uncle, and admits she has none of the answers.

Agnes shows up just in the nick of time to take Billy and Tommy to her house as she can see Wanda needs some time alone, but things get increasingly worse for the Scarlet Witch as she struggles to keep the house in this time period. Monica and Jimmy, meanwhile, learn that Project Cataract was meant to bring Vision back online, and nothing worked until Wanda stole his body (hence why Director Hayward is so desperate to get the android back). Monica meets with some loyal S.W.O.R.D. agents, but there's no sign of that mysterious aerospace engineer. Back in the sitcom, the interviewer listening to Wanda (Modern Family-style) speaks up and says to her, "Do you think this is maybe what you deserve?" Pretty sinister, right?

This week's commercial advertises Nexus antidepressants, and it's fair to say that this actually gives us our best idea yet of what's going on in Westview. We'll have more on that for you later, though.

Back to the action, and Agnes is hanging out with Tommy and Billy. The latter, who had been hearing voices in his head earlier, reveals that he hears nothing from the nosy neighbour. "You're quiet Agnes...on the inside." Monica's attempts to re-enter Westview in that vehicle don't go well, and the "heavily armoured space rover" is a colossal failure. Having passed through twice already, Monica runs in without protection, and hears her mother's voice. She also hears Captain Marvel's, and the anger she feels at that manages to get the S.W.O.R.D. agent through as herself. However, her eyesight is initially affected, and she sees Westview on a well, we guess you could call it a "spectrum." Vision learns of his past from Darcy, but the duo are raced by delay after delay (seemingly Wanda's doing). Ultimately, he decides just to fly home. Monica finally comes face to face with Wanda, and Rambeau finally displays some superpowers of her own. Unfortunately, just as Monica is getting through to the Avenger, Agnes arrives to usher her away.

In Agnes' house, Wanda begins feeling that all is not right, and questions where Tommy and Billy are. Her friend points her in the direction of the basement. It's overgrown and full of what looks like Satanic imagery. There's a weird book there radiating energy - we're willing to bet it's the Darkhold - and Agnes then appears, revealing herself as Agatha Harkness. She's stroking Señor Scratchy the entire time, and uses her purple-coloured powers to show Wanda that it's "been Agatha all along." That reveals how she's been manipulating events - including Pietro's return - and confirms that, yes, she killed Sparky. That's where we end things, but there is a post-credits scene you can read more about by clicking here
