WandaVision is fast approaching, and if those glowing social media reactions are anything to go by, we're going to be in for a treat this Friday (when the show premieres with a double-bill).

Now, a new TV spot for the Disney+ series has been revealed, and it contains some intriguing shots. The one that's really grabbed our attention sees The Vision talking to Agnes before the android's comic accurate Halloween costume starts to transform around him.

It could be our imagination, but it looks a lot like it might be turning into a new "costume" for the Avenger. If so, it could include that yellow finish and a slightly different colour scheme. It's hard to say for sure, though, so it's probably best not to get our hopes us about this just yet.

In my reaction, I called WandaVision "one of the craziest, cleverest things [Marvel Studios] has done." Rohan Patel, meanwhile, adds that"The first three episodes are unlike anything Marvel has ever attempted before."

WandaVision is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision - two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives - begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems. The series is directed by Matt Shakman, with Jac Schaeffer as head writer. Running for nine episodes, the show premieres on January 15th, 2021.

@ShellyMando - The USO costume (although it was played for laughs) could have been nearly perfect in terms of comic accuracy. Had he kep it on when he went to rescue Bucky and the troops....and then had Stark modify it to have the scale mail, fitted finish, materials and details it would have been awesome.

The USO costume as it is in the pic is better than Coulson’s avengers costume.

Man oh, man what a missed opportunity.

@PerrinNation1 - I absolutely agree! All it needs was a better cowl/helmet and it would've been perfection

@PerrinNation1 - speaking of missing opportunities, a acknowledgment of torch, Union Jack, spitfire or subby would have been pretty darn awesome too

It looks like that witch chick, or vision himself, will transform the halloween costumes into real costumes, which will give them a way to include features like the tiara and cape collar in serious costumes, without them being pointless or unrealistic. Or maybe its just transforming into the regular costume we all know. But the way the collar shrinks to a less cartoonish size makes me think we will see a more comic accurate costume, thats less silly than the halloween ones.

But if I’m being totally honest I don’t care much as long as I get to see Lizzy Olsen in sexy costumes. Sad but true.

@connorblaze - It's gonna be the MCU costume we know. It tracks with the scene where he flies over the town and talks with Agnes who's in the car.

Since it's phase 4, are we getting a new Marvel Studios Fanfare?
Boyle360
Boyle360 - 1/10/2021, 7:18 AM
@ShellyMando - Why does phase 4 mean we're getting a new one? I reckon they're sticking with it because the opening theme for the new Disney+ series "Marvel Studios Legends" is based on the Marvel fanfare that we've had for a while now.
SanFranLand
SanFranLand - 1/10/2021, 8:03 AM
@ShellyMando - I think they were trying to land on a permanent one that differentiated from other Marvel movies. From different studios. While I did like the page turning, the one they’ve finalized is actually pretty solid if you see what they’re doing.
It goes from comic, to screenplay, to artist renditions/concepts for on-screen costumes, to the actual movies.
Took me way too long to see the progression

I love that they did this with their classic suits. I do hope we see a semi-accurate Scarlet Witch costume in the MCU after this but I loved the First Avenger style touch of acknowledging the camp and embracing it while also doing something different

Wish these comic accurate looks happened sooner, but it's cool they're popping up now.

I hope we are getting a true return of the Vision out of this and that his last appearance is not just in Wanda's fantasy. There may be hints of that, but this series looks so crazy I don't know what to expect.
