The series premiere of What If...? focused on an alternate version of Peggy Carter who took the super-soldier serum instead of Steve Rogers, and this Wednesday's second episode will ask what if T'Challa was taken by Yondu and the Ravagers in place of Peter Quill and ended up becoming Star-Lord.
Now, the official Twitter account of the MCU's first animated series has shared a new character poster featuring "T'Challa Star-Lord," who will be voiced by the late Chadwick Boseman in what will mark his final time in the role.
The first episode basically just retold the events of Captain America: The First Avenger with a few tweaks here and there, but this next installment is expected to put a completely different spin on Guardians of the Galaxy while taking Wakanda's protector on a wildly entertaining space-set adventure.
We recently learned that What If...? is just the first of "multiple" animated shows “in various phases of development” for the Disney Plus streaming service, in addition to a second season of What If...? and a series of “photo-real” animated shorts centered on Baby Groot. There are no current plans for animated features, however.
