WHAT IF...? Finally Gives Seth Green's Howard The Duck His Own MCU Character Poster WHAT IF...? Finally Gives Seth Green's Howard The Duck His Own MCU Character Poster

Marvel Studios has shared another new character poster for What If...?, this time featuring Seth Green's Howard the Duck following his memorable role in today's "What If...Thor Was An Only Child?" episode.

What If...?'s latest episode appears to have divided fans, with some loving the silliness of the premise and others not fully on board with the depictions of certain characters. Shaking things up is sort of the point, though, and "Party Thor" certainly managed to have a good time during his first visit to Midgard alongside Lady Sif and The Warriors Three.

[Possible SPOILERS Follow!] His epic battle with Captain Marvel wasn't quite as much fun for the God of Thunder, but along the way, Thor crossed paths with a lot of familiar faces.

Howard the Duck was among them, of course, but things played out quite a bit differently for that Guardians of the Galaxy character than expected. He ended up romancing Kat Dennings' Darcy Lewis, and the two got hitched in a shotgun wedding in Las Vegas. We're not sure if they consummated the marriange, but Howard is proving himself quite the ladies' man!

This marks his second appearance in What If...?, with the other coming in "What If...T'Challa Became a Star-Lord?" Future live-action plans remain unclear, though we do anticipate seeing him either in The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special or the upcoming Vol. 3

What If… these shows were on the same level as the movies?

@TheWalkingCuban - what if...what if we're written with competency.

@Origame - That goes to most of the rest as well as far as I’m concerned, I can’t believe it but I like Wandavidion the most. I just knew going in that falcon and the Winter soldier was going to be captain America Winter soldier level… nope. Wandavision wasn’t a 5 but it’s a solid 4. Loki and F&WS were boring much of the time, and that ain’t good. What If I’d inconsistent as well

Why was Loki so big? He was very small for a frost giant

@dracula - Yeah I noticed that too. In the first Thor movie Odin says he found Loki abandoned and left to die and that he was small for a frost giant’s baby. Why would they even want him back? But then what if that’s why Odin had to give him back? Maybe he wasn’t born small in this universe. It’s really “What If... Loki wasn’t a Runt?” But then why would he be abandoned for Odin to take in the first place? I don’t know. Most of these What Ifs fall apart if you think about them too much. Even the Dr Strange one everybody liked didn’t make any sense.

This show is a hit or miss for me with each episode. I didn’t like this one so much. I would like to see a ice giants spin off. They were fun.

So bad, I tell myself monthly as I watch it yet again.

@Reeds2Much - Bizarre film on so many levels. Lea Thompson recovered from this, because her very next role was the excellent "Some Kind of Wonderful."

Well that was a fun episode! I didn't like how hostile Captain Marvel was. I get it was Nick who was injured, but still. At least she loosened up a bit at the end.

Also, Frigga had no right looking as smoking as she did in this episode.

Did this episode just end with the Ultron Phalanx from Annihilation: Conquest?! With Infinity Stones?!?!

Bonkers.

Also, it's "Ms. The Duck", Howard you old misogynist.

Really fun and enjoyable episode, much better than the Killmonger one; one of the stronger episodes so far for the season. And it was great to see all those returning characters, most of which were voiced by the original actors, so that was great! Also, really enjoyed Captain Marvel vs Thor.

Sick ending as well- bring on Ultron Vision.

Howard the Duck SO needs to 1) make the leap to the live action MCU in a pronounced role (would give rocket some competition Re. attitude) and 2) get a D+ show as main character or prominent charcter. He is great! Really funny and a bit more "adult", which i would personally like to see a bit more of in the MCU. (Looking forward to werewolf by night, moonninght, blade, deadpool, etc.

After the doom and gloom of previous episodes this was a nice change of pace with just how laid back it was.

I’m enjoying every episode so far. I thought Hemsworth was pretty funny in this one. Loki was abnormally big but that’s the only thing that stood out to me.

While not my favorite episode so far, it was still a fun ride. People take this show too seriously. The entire premise is meant to explore any and all wacky possibilities, Thor becoming an Asgardian Dyonisus is just one of them.

My favorite episodes so far:

1. Doctor Strange goes into Madness
2. Captain Carter
3. Avengers Assassinated
4. Marvel Zombies
5. Killmonger
6. Wakandans of the Galaxy
7. Thor: God of Partying

I totally see how this episode would be divisive....but I refuse to believe anyone who claim that they didn't have any fun at all.
