If you've been watching funny, nostalgia-filled Karate Kid spinoff series Cobra Kai - and you really should be - on Netflix, then you'll most likely be waiting with bated breath for a first look at the upcoming third season, and we have that for you right here via an action-packed trailer.

The season 2 finale did not end well for any of our protagonists, with Johnny (William Zabka) crawling back into a booze-filled hole after Miguel's (Xolo Maridueña) near fatal accident, and Danny (Ralph Machio) distraught at the actions of his daughter Sam (Mary Mouser) and student Robby (Tanner Buchanan). This teaser does tease a light at the end of the tunnel for all (well, most) parties, however.

After almost putting their differences aside several times, it looks like Danny and Johnny are finally going to join forces in order to combat the larger threat posed by the ruthless Kreese (Martin Kove). Plus, we see the return of Karate Kid II characters Chozen (Yuji Okumoto) Kumiko (Tamlyn Tomita), though there's no sign of Elizabeth Shue as Ali, who is expected to show up at some point after that season 2 tease.

Miguel fans will also be happy to see that he's on the mend, with Johnny pledging to stay by his side and help him get back on his feet.

Cobra Kai season 3 is set to premiere on Netflix in January.
