EW has debuted a batch of promo stills for Adam McKay's upcoming sci-fi comedy, Don't Look Up, giving us a first official look at the incredibly impressive cast.

Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio play a pair of low-level astronomers, Kate Dibiasky and Dr. Randall Mindy, who must go on a giant media tour to warn mankind of an approaching asteroid that will destroy Earth. Meryl Streep plays U.S. President Janie Orlean, while Jonah Hill portrays her son and chief-of-staff Jason.

They'll be joined by: Cate Blanchett, Tyler Perry, Rob Morgan, Mark Rylance, Ron Perlman, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Scott Mescudi (aka Kid Cudi), Himesh Patel, Melanie Lynskey, Michael Chiklis, Tomer Sisley, and Chris Evans in a minor cameo role (presumably not playing himself as he did in a recent movie).

We don't know a whole lot about this one beyond the basic premise, but with this ensemble, audiences are going to be curious to check it out regardless.

McKay wrote and directed the movie, and is also on board as producer under his Hyperobject Industries banner with Kevin Messick.

Don't Look Up is out in select theaters December 10 before hitting Netflix on December 24. The first trailer should be online soon.

Patriot News Network guy is giving me big O'Reilly vibes, hopefully that's just me because pertinent satire would be of Hannity or Carlson, maybe Alex Jones if they want to go full nutjob.

I don't know why, but Lawrence's uneven bangs are very distracting.

I don't need to see anymore to know how this goes. Hollywood's elite bands together to make a movie about a hat-wearing president they hate who has family members in the white house staff go up against the plucky underdog scientists who are trying to warn the world of an impending global disaster.

This will basically be 2 hours of the worst parts of every Oscar's award ceremony. Ugh.

@Super12 - I don't understand? Why would anyone hate Lincoln?

@Super12 - But people love political satire and Adam Mckay has been doing it the best with an Oscar cast. Big Short, Vice, Anchorman 1 & 2. It's probably going to be 1 of the best films this year vs those family blockbusters we see every year.

Looks like half of Hollywood’s in this. Also, what’s the use of the Free Guy spoiler? I expect it from Josh, but not from Ror. Joke

This could be a clever satire. Scientists and politicians coming together to fight off a global threat with possibly deadly results. I’m sure they’re going to butt heads and let their biases and egos get in the way. Sounds a lot like the current pandemic. Looking forward to this.

This... doesn't seem too subtle. I'm probably okay with that.

I find Jennifer Lawrence annoying in everything she's in.

This is from the guy who wants to make a Silver Surfer movie right?

@ElvenKingSlayer - probably. He co-wrote Ant-Man with Rudd. Or re-wrote it. He's a big comic guy.

The teaser looks good. The right form of satire, and a great cast. Typically the streaming services don't offer this level of quality, so it will be nice to see. Johah Hill looks great.

I know Adam McKay is busy working will all these amazing actors and getting tons of award recognition and heaps of praise... but I'm still waiting for another Will Ferrell team-up. Their movies are just too damn funny.

@MosquitoFarmer - funnily enough, The Others Guy is probably Ferrell’s last actually great live-action role. He’s missing McKay more than McKay’s missing him, although the paycheques probably don’t agree

Everytime I see Jonah Hill I'm reminded of a broflake who was so OFFENDED that Brie Larson was directing a film. That she didn't take the time Jonah Hill took and did the things he did to direct a film. Don't know why the dude brought Jonah Hill though. Then the Netflix account took a shit on the guy on Twitter. Fun stuff.
