On the heels of a couple of teaser trailers, Netflix has debuted a series of character posters for upcoming action thriller Gunpowder Milkshake, featuring the Sam, Scarlet and the rest of the movie's lethal leading ladies.

Directed by Israeli filmmaker Navot Papushado (Rabies, Big Bad Wolves), the movie stars Karen Gillan (Guardians of the Galaxy, Jumanji) as a hit-woman named Sam who reunites with her mother Scarlet (Game of Thrones alum Lena Headey) 15 years after she abandoned her child in order to protect her from a ruthless crime organization known as The Firm.

According to the synopsis, "when a high-risk job goes wrong, Sam must choose between serving The Firm and protecting the life of an innocent 8-year-old girl – Emily (Chloe Coleman). With a target on her back, Sam has only one chance to survive: reunite with her mother and her lethal associates The Librarians (Bassett, Yeoh and Gugino)."

Check out the character banners below along with a new group poster, and let us know if you plan on checking this one out when it hits Netflix.

Gunpowder Milkshake also stars Paul Giamatti, Ralph Ineson and Freya Allan, and is set to blast its way onto Netflix on July 14.

@MUTO123 - I got very different opinions on the three of them, so I don't know if agree with what he's trying to say

@MUTO123 - Agree that creators don't have to do exactly what the fans want (pandering to fans has hurt projects on multiple occasions)

Although yeah, bad is still bad and fans dont owe them praise for making crappy products.

Don't get why James Mangold is there, people loved logan.

Anything can work, they just need to make it work, Rian Johnson, Kathleen Kennedy, Zack Snyder, and Paul Feig did not with the projects they are criticized for.

@dracula - I agree fans don't have to praise everything that comes their way because a property can always put out something bad (even Marvel's put out a couple stinkers), but the sense of entitlement that a lot of fans have like "I deserve to have this movie catered to me and me alone" or "This movie didn't do what I wanted it to do, therefore it's bad" is really troublesome and paints a bad picture around fandom in general. It makes me think back to a quote from Zack Stentz, who wrote the first Thor and X-Men: First Class, from back when Pattinson was cast as Batman and people were freaking out about "dEr tWilIgHt dUDe cAn'T bE bATmAn!", and he said that the internet has enabled millions of Annie Wilkes' to think that they know better than the people who are actually out there creating things, and that's true.

Looks very Birds Of Prey.

Although considering this is an original project and not pointlessly changing a great property into something unrecognizable, it might work here

Looks nothing special over other mid-budget gun action movies, but the cast does look good. Then again, thats often why I give these movies a try anyway

I’m surprised that this is an original story and not an adaptation. From the trailers it looks like a lot of world building is being established and that they’re hoping for a franchise. Good cast if so.

@JFerguson - It looks like the type of movie where if you looked at the billing block at the bottom of the poster it would say "Based on the Comic from Dark Horse" or some shit like that.

@MUTO123 - Haha exactly what I was thinking. Like "Adapted from the Vertigo comic" or something like that.

See, for all the people calling for more diversity, why not do more of this, an original property, rather than race/gender bend pre-established characters? I can guarantee there'd be a lot less hate online.

I might give this a shot. When diversity is brought to the table, I always say that the way to do it is to make new diverse IPs, and see if they work on their own. And this movie does so. So fair is fair, I'll give it a fair chance.

@regularmovieguy - It probably wouldn't be a chore to watch them back to back if one were to wait. It went by pretty fast.

Although, we are a society of instant gratification. That's why I watched it when it mysteriously ended up on my hard drive yesterday.

@inkniron

Oh, I know. Honestly I want to wait to buy the full movie. I used to use an external but my PC went to shit and I’ve been to lazy to buy one since I have a work laptop.

But I’ll prolly pay the $20 and watch it. I [frick]ing love TLH and I haven’t read it in a long time.

Even in the most expensive, cheap looking polyester available to the wardrobe dept, Carla Gugino still hits me in the husband bulge.

Side note, I just saw The Cabin in the Woods for the first time today and I laughed at that line more than I should have.

@inkniron - Cabin in the Woods is an amazingly good deconstruction of the horror genre while still being an awesome horror movie on its own.

I love it.

@CorndogBurglar - It was pretty good. Somehow it was just one of those that slipped through the crack with me. I'm glad I finally caught it.
