We're now in 2022, and six more episodes of The Book of Boba Fett await! The first instalment hit Disney+ between Christmas and New Year, and for Star Wars fans, it's been an exciting week.
It feels like we've barely scratched the surface of where this latest story set in a Galaxy Far, Far Away is taking us, but two intriguing new characters were introduced in the show's premiere. Madam Garsa (Jennifer Beals) runs one of Mos Espa's biggest drinking holes, and seemed eager to please Tatooine's new crimelord; however, we can't help but think she's not to be trusted.
Similarly shifty was the Mayor's Majordomo. He escaped Lord Fett's wrath by the skin of his teeth, but it's clear the city's mayor isn't happy with the bounty hunter usurping Jabba the Hutt and Bib Fortuna.
The Star Wars franchise may be taking a break from theaters, but 2022 is shaping up to be a huge year. As well as The Book of Boba Fett, we still have Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, and The Bad Batch season 2 to look forward to, though Rogue Squadron's delay means we're not expecting any movies (including Kevin Feige and Taikia Waititi's) to begin full-blown production this side of 2023.
