After a brief hiatus, filming has resumed on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story spinoff Andor in The UK, and we have some revealing new photos from the Cleveleys promenade set.

SPOILERS: The 5 Biggest Moments From The ROGUE ONE Trailers That Weren't In The Movie

The snaps provide our first good look at Diego Luna in costume as returning Rebel hero Cassian Andor, along with some Storm/Sandtroopers, and an actor in a motion-capture suit. Alan Tudyk has already confirmed that reprogrammed Imperial Droid K-2SO won't appear (at least, not in this first season), so the identity of this character remains a mystery for now.

Check out the photos below, along with last year's behind-the-scenes sizzle reel.

Andor will follow the adventures of Rebel fighter Cassian Andor during the formative years of the Rebellion and prior to the events of Rogue One. The rousing spy thriller will "explore tales filled with espionage and daring missions to restore hope to a galaxy in the grip of a ruthless Empire."

Toby Haynes (Black Mirror) will helm the show, stepping in to replace original director Tony Gilroy, who was reportedly forced to drop out due to COVID-19 related travel restrictions. The Americans producer Stephen Schiff will serve as showrunner on the series, which will also feature Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Genevieve O’Reilly, Stellan Skarsgard, and Kyle Soller in undisclosed roles.

Andor is set to premiere on Disney+ in 2022.
