Yes, we would all lay down our lives for Baby Yoda.

Introduced in the final moments of the first episode of The Mandalorian, the mysterious, force-sensitive infant (well, he's actually 50!) has captured fans' hearts with his adorable antics. We still don't know what the future has in store for the little fella, but it seems clear that Dyn Jarren has developed some sort of bond with his "asset," and may decide not to hand him over to his nameless client when it comes down to it.

We'll have to wait until Friday to find out, but in the meantime Jon Favreau has shared an original concept design for Baby Yoda over Twitter. This looks almost identical to the version we meet on the show, although his eyes are not jet-black.

Check it out below along with a batch of stills from the first two episodes, and be sure to share your thoughts on what we've seen from The Mandalorian so far in the comments.

I'm more excited for the rest of the Mandalorian than I am for Episode IX...

Marvel began the cute war with Baby Groot.

Star Wars just struck back with Baby Yoda.

Now the only way Marvel can stay in the fight is to bring a Baby Rocket flashback in Guardians Vol 3.

My ability to repeatedly and completely forget about the Christmas special amazes me. I think it's a defense mechanism. Every so often I get reminded that it exists and it all comes flooding back...

@Shroombeast - funny thing is, the Mando's awesome rifle comes from that very show.

We need a prequel series about "The Yodas" similar to Gremlins
