THE MANDALORIAN Season 3 Officially Announced For Christmas 2021; New Recap Trailer Released

We knew The Mandalorian had already been renewed for a third season, but it was officially announced during today's Disney Investors Day that the Star Wars series will return next Christmas...

Amid all the Star Wars-related madness coming our way tonight via Disney's Investors Day, you may have missed the official announcement that The Mandalorian will return for its third season in 2021.

No specific date was set, but the live-action Star Wars series will be available to stream on Disney+ around this time next year.

To coincide with the news, Lucasfilm released a new trailer which serves as a recap of the events of season 2 so far. The clip features some of the most epic moments of the past few episodes, including Ahsoka Tano and Bo-Katan's live-action debuts, and Boba Fett donning his iconic armor to lay waste to some Stormtroopers.

The penultimate season 2 chapter of The Mandalorian hits Disney+ in just a few hours time, and while we're still not quite sure what to expect, it's assumed that Mando, Fett and Fennic Shand will embark on their mission to rescue Grogu from the clutches of Moff Gideon.

Be sure to keep an eye out for our review/recap shortly after the episode airs.
