VENOM "Artist Mix" Hot Toys Action Figure Is The Version Of The Symbiote We NEED In The Sequel

Based on the character's comic book appearance, this new Venom action figure from Hot Toys Collectibles reveals a version of the Symbiote it would be downright epic to see on the big screen next year...

Putting aside any other faults Venom may have had, it's fair to say that the Symbiote looked awesome in action. There was, however, one thing notable by its absence: the white spider symbol on the anti-hero's chest!

Well, this amazing new action figure includes that symbol, and a host of other details it would be truly epic to see on the big screen when Venom returns in the Andy Serkis-helmed sequel next October.

According to Hot Toys, the vinyl-made Venom Artist Mix Figure is specially crafted based on the appearance of Venom in Marvel Comics. Measuring approximately 34cm in height, the re-imagined figure portrays the ominous presence of Venom through his hulking physique and glossy black skin color scheme with reflective blue tones.

Unlike the movie version, it also has the distinctive web-like patterns in white stretched across his chest. Plus, there are two newly developed interchangeable heads sculpts including a grinning head sculpt and one with his signature long sprawling tongue.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - it just looks weird to me. I think they made him look too muscular, like he's got so much muscle that it just seems like he should be struggling just to move around.

The Venom from last year would work, he just needed a bit better characterization and have the actual white spider logo and tada, that's Venom.

@NinnesMBC - But iirc, originally the symbiote had the white Spider logo and the white eyes because Peter Parker used it as his Spider-Man new suit when the red and blue one was destroyed in the Secret Wars (the white eyes have the Spidey's mask shape because of that), makes no sense that he has the Spidey white eyes and the Spider logo without the previous Spider-Man connection.

I know that Marvel changed/retconned that later and most symbiotes look like the black Spidey suit now somehow, but I hate that retcon, the symbiotes should just look like shapeless black (or any other color) creatures, the eyes and the logo should come from Spidey using the Venom symbiote as his new suit, and that could even explain why Venom's "children" like Carnage keep the Spidey shaped eyes, but without Spider-Man they shouldn't look like Spider-Man's suit.

I know the first one made mad sheckles but they should let that be a cool little fluke and scrap the sequel . Focus on the animated movie that got them an Oscar and do a sequel to that

It looks beautiful but... comparing it to the Venompool announced at the SDCC this looks... lacking.

Maybe it will come with some cool extras and accesories... I'll wait until the proper release announcement by Hot Toys to see the full product.
