VENOM Concept Art Reveals Some Alternate, Slightly More Horrifying Takes On The Alien Symbiote

Some newly revealed concept art for Venom shows off some amazing alternate designs for Eddie Brock's symbiote, and a few of them really are the stuff of nightmares! Check them out after the jump...

Venom received a decidedly mixed response from critics, but the movie certainly has its fans and there's a lot of excitement surrounding the sequel, particularly with Andy Serkis at the helm.

The prevailing theory is that Venom will be squaring off with Carnage, and there's also a very good chance Spider-Man could now get involved. Time will tell on that front, but for now some newly surfaced concept art from the first movie courtesy of Aaron Sims Creative and David Masson sheds some light on what the symbiote could have looked like.

As you can see in the gallery below, some very interesting ideas were considered, while others just show the work that went into bringing the symbiote to life on the big screen last year.
