VENOM Is A Part Of The Marvel Cinematic Universe According To SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Producer Amy Pascal
Though Kevin Feige recently stated that "there are no plans" for Venom in the MCU, Sony's Amy Pascal now claims that the character does exist within Marvel's shared movie universe after all...
It looks like Marvel and Sony may have their webs crossed when it comes to the latter studio's upcoming R-rated Venom movie.
Kevin Feige recently seemed to suggest that the villain's solo outing wouldn't actually be connected to the MCU, but Sony producer Amy Pascal obvioulsy sees things differently.
In the video interview below, Pascal very clearly states that Venom exists in the same universe as Spider-Man: Homecoming, which, in turn, is a part of the MCU:
To be fair, Feige never actually definitively stated that Venom wasn't a part of the MCU, he simply said that the studio had no plans for the character at the moment. On the other hand, the Marvel Chief does look a little suprised by Pascal's comments in the video!
