That wilhelm scream was very misplaced though. This clip was fun, so now I'm just more confused on this movie. I went from thinking it could be fun schlock to not even entertaining the idea of seeing it to now returning to it being fun schlock.

@ftf530 - I remember researching years ago because I heard it in the animated Clone Wars micro series they did in like 2003. Blew my mind that a concept like this even existed. Not that it's bad, but a little self-awareness for overused, borderline hilarious ones would be in order for a film like this where a lot is riding on it not being silly.

@ScarletWarlock - The embargo lifts less than 48 hours before release. That's almost certainly a bad sign. Apparently, the press screening is at the same time.

The Wilhelm scream was...out of place? Something about the movie seems off. Idk what. Hardy seemed engaged. He might be the only reason to see this.

I never read Venom.

However, I like their dynamic together (talk back and forth) here and the "suit up".

While I believe it may be his Ultimate universe design, I think they should have given him the purplish hue as opposed or be outright black.

Ok. Damn. Damn, damn, damn. I’m going to see this in theaters. I never paid for any Amazing Spider-Man nonsense. But I read a lot of Venom. Damn it! I have the same sinking feeling as being somewhat enticed by a Transformer trailer and 20 mins in regretting my decision. Like a crackhead being offered one last rock for one last weekend. I know I shouldn’t. I KNOW I shouldn’t!!! But...just one more time.

@PsychoticSpaceRaccoon - hahaha. I fought that one off. The hype was strong but I found the strength to be stronger. Sounds like I made a good choice. It couldn’t have been worse than watching AVP, RIGHT? The moment the predator and girl run out of screen together and you go, “welp, there it all goes. Running straight into the toilet as new buddies. It was so easy. All you had to do was put alien and predator together. Why? Why was this made? WHY DID I PAY??!? This is just over an hour of work to cover the cost of this slow drowning!!!?! WHYYYYYYYYYHY?!”
