With a little over a week to go before Venom: Let There Be Carnage arrives in theaters, Sony Pictures has now released four new character posters for Andy Serkis' Marvel Comics adaptation. The spotlight is put on the movie's leads: Eddie Brock/Venom (Tom Hardy), Cletus Kasady/Carnage (Woody Harrelson), Frances Barrison/Shriek (Naomie Harris), and Anne Weying (Michelle Williams).

However, it's at this point we should probably issue a quick spoiler warning! Each of the posters features a silhouette teasing that there's more to each of these characters than initially meets the eye.

On Anne's, we see She-Venom, a possible sign that she's going to suit up once again in this sequel!

The response to that scene in 2018's Venom might be the only thing fans universally praised, so more of the same certainly wouldn't be a bad thing. It's possible this doesn't mean much, of course, but the poster is bound to generate a lot of discussion. With that October 1 release date looming (it's out on October 15 in the UK), the studio no doubt hopes to create as much buzz as possible.

Check out the new posters for Venom: Let There Be Carnage below:

"Tom Hardy returns to the big screen as the lethal protector Venom, one of Marvel's greatest and most complex characters," reads a brief synopsis that was released on the movie's website (where you can now purchase tickets for the movie). "Directed by Andy Serkis, the film also stars Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris and Woody Harrelson, in the role of the villain Cletus Kasady/Carnage."

As noted, Venom: Let There Be Carnage stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, Reid Scott, Stephen Graham, and Woody Harrelson. It's set to be released in theaters on October 1, 2021.

Lol on adding shriek to the roster of characters we should pay attention to when the trailer shows nothing significant about her.

this looks exactly like the 1st one - a trainwreck. i dont care how much money it made. and their design for carnage sucks. the one from the comics was perfect and they managed to mess that up.

Are they going to do that thing where only a female hero is allowed to fight the female villain, so She-Venom will be back just so there's someone to fight Shriek?

What a way to turn iconic character looks into generic looking black women. I mean, idc if you cast a black woman as long as you respect how the character is supossed to look like. First Domino, now this. If you somehow consider it racist to paint a black woman white, then, idk, dont cast a black woman?

I'm not optimistic, but I'm just loving Woody's evil grin here.

Also, I'm noticing almost no real differences between Venom and Carnage, other than one is black and the other is red.

Wonder What Will be Shriek's source of power giving that she can't be a mutant in this.
