Sony Pictures has shared a new featurette for Venom: Let There Be Carnage that sees Andy Serkis talk more about his ambitious plans for the sequel, while we also have a better look at Stan Lee's "cameo."

Yesterday, Sony Pictures released an action-packed new trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The response has been mixed, with some fans loving what they saw, and others not quite so sure.

With Andy Serkis at the helm, it's hard not to have at least some faith in what we'll see in theaters on September 24, and a new featurette has been revealed that might just help inspire a little more confidence in the sequel. The filmmaker talks in great detail about how his past experiences have factored into what he's putting on screen here, including the time he spent as Gollum.

"I've spent a considerable amount of my life playing a character with two sides to his personality," the actor and director says with a smile. "There's common ground there."

There's not much in the way of new footage, but we do get to see a couple of pieces of concept art featuring Carnage. There is, however, a shot of a magazine cover depicting a tribute to Stan Lee (we caught a glimpse of that in the first trailer, but a better look can be found in this new video).

Apple TV has the exclusive on this Venom: Let There Be Carnage featurette, so you'll have to follow the link in the Tweet below to check it out because, in 2021, they're still not using embed codes!

I really wish they gave Naomi Harris that 80s Wild Hair style similar to rockers for Shriek in this film.
Hopefully we get to see more Concept art for Carnage as well.

Out of all media, it's Apple TV that comes with a featurette. That's about the last one I expected to come up with it

I'm already disappointed they are sticking with the style of the first one when carnage stories are always sadistically violent and gory

Scream looked quite CWish.

And while I do admit they got the Carnage aesthetic near perfect (from what I can tell so far), this just isn't compelling. Sony is so envious of the MCU's success they're desperately hanging on to these IPs to say "hey guys, look at me!"
