Merchandise for Venom: Let There Be Carnage has started to find its way online, and we now have a new (low-res) look at both of the symbiotes in Andy Serkis' highly-anticipated Venom sequel. Check it out!

The first trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage generated a lot of discussion online, particularly when it comes to the live-action debut of Cletus Kasady. While it's definitely a relief to see Woody Harrelson in a vastly more convincing wig, the symbiote doesn't exactly look like he's stepped straight out of the pages of the comic books.

That was to be expected given the similarities between Carnage and Venom's Riot, but the villain's aesthetic still works well enough in this corner of the SPUMC (Sony Pictures' Universe of Marvel Characters).

Now, some newly revealed merchandise for Venom: Let There Be Carnage has found its way online, and if offers up a fresh look at the alter-egos of both Eddie Brock and Cletus. They do look pretty similar here, but the fact that this is finding its way out into the world hopefully means we'll see a lot more from Andy Serkis' movie over the summer.

Before we get to that, though, it would be nice to see that Spider-Man: No Way Home teaser!

"Tom Hardy returns to the big screen as the lethal protector Venom, one of Marvel's greatest and most complex characters," reads a brief synopsis that was released on the movie's newly launched website last month. "Directed by Andy Serkis, the film also stars Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris and Woody Harrelson, in the role of the villain Cletus Kasady/Carnage."

Venom: Let There Be Carnage stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, Reid Scott, Stephen Graham, and Woody Harrelson. It's set to be released in theaters globally this September.

These are kind of set up to become the "Transformers" franchise of comic book adaptation films.

Towels? That's about the last piece of merch I would want. Even as a kid towels were on the bottom of my list of merch

Notice how he has tendrils "floating" around him just like the comics, whereas Venom is solid. They just need to up the colours

@Saga - good point. That’d be pretty cool if he was like that throughout the movie. Wish they gave him the axe-blade eyes though

They could have done a better job on the cgi. The hot toys model really sold me on that fact. Lots of textures that aren’t there in the actual movie

But it’s Sony so I’m not surprised

I really dont know what I was expecting Carnage to look like but for some reason he just doesnt pop for me at all. Maybe the color is too muted but if you told me this was the symbiote at the end of the first one id believe you

On the one hand it’s cool they’re introducing Carnage, who is a really major Marvel villain, but on the other hand it’s pretty lame that we’re getting another Venom movie where the bad guy is just “Evil Venom”. One of my biggest criticisms of the first film was how its fight scenes can be described as “two dark CG slime monsters punch each other, and I can’t tell them apart.”

It’d be nice if Venom fought a character who didn’t just look like another Venom.

@santoanderson - it’d be friggin amazing if he fought Spider-Man.. just an idea.

Why does Carnage have white teeth like Venom?

Carnage's mouth, jaw and teeth have always been black.

@MaximusTheMad - why does black widow in unfortunate war have blonde hair she’s always red hair

@dragon316 - No she didn't. She swapped idendtities with Yelena in the comics and had Blond hair.

Go read some commics before speaking bullshit!

Mark Bagley design is all we needed. I am hoping they alter his look a bit before the film or he atleast progresses into an altered state where he has the original comic look from when he first debuted.
