Sony Pictures has shared a new vignette for Venom: Let There Be Carnage, and it sees director Andy Serkis shed a little more light on what fans can expect from the dynamic between Eddie Brock and Venom.

Thanks to COVID-19, there's no chance Venom: Let There Be Carnage will reach the same box office heights as its predecessor. It's certainly interesting to think about what might have been with the sequel, but Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings proved that Marvel movies can still find great financial success in the "pandemic era."

As Venom Day continues, Sony Pictures has now released a new vignette for Andy Serkis' movie.

Here, the filmmaker breaks down how Eddie Brock's relationship with Venom has deepened and teases what sounds like a twisted love story featuring the two characters. They'll have to become one if they hope to defeat Carnage, and we also get some cool new footage from the sequel.

Eddie and Venom's clash promises to be a highlight, and it appears they really aren't getting on here. As other recent promos have confirmed, the alien wants to become a Lethal Protector, whereas his human host is looking to stay under the radar and continue being a reporter for The Daily Bugle.

We'll see how they resolve this conflict, but for now, you can check out this vignette for Venom: Let There Be Carnage in the player below:

"Tom Hardy returns to the big screen as the lethal protector Venom, one of Marvel's greatest and most complex characters," reads a brief synopsis that was released on the movie's website (where you can now purchase tickets for the movie). "Directed by Andy Serkis, the film also stars Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris and Woody Harrelson, in the role of the villain Cletus Kasady/Carnage."

As noted, Venom: Let There Be Carnage stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, Reid Scott, Stephen Graham, and Woody Harrelson. It's set to be released in theaters on October 1, 2021.

When he said having Venom is like living with an over-sized toddle, my first thought was Honey I Blew Up The Kid.

This now makes sense, what was with the whole LGBT point.

It should be evident for the sequel to explore the growth of their relationship, and that will be an A-plus for the movie. That is, of course; it's done right. I don't think calling them a couple, though, is the proper comparison, ill call them, in my opinion, stepbrothers.

Apart from the action, a sense of realism is always a good thing in any movie.

Looking forward to this!!

@THEKENDOMAN - I really would prefer people not call this an LGBT relationship. It's just weird to pretend that this is at all the same thing.

@Kurban - Totally agree matey. I explained this on last post about Andy Serkis saying it was. But some idiot called @Armageddon26 misinterpreted my point. He actually put me to sleep with his insults.

An LGBTQ Venom and one doing karaoke and a mic drop now as if what they did to Venom in the first movie wasn't bad enough, can't stand the Disney/Marvel and Avi Arad who's just another Feige.
