I was legit typing out a theory about how this movie was going to end, but this article beat me to it. Might as well just send it anyway just to have it immortalised somewhere.

The movie is going to begin with Eddie Brock doing an interview with Cletus Kassidy as played by Woody Harrelson while he's in prison. This is backed up by the shots of Eddie arriving at the prison in the trailer. The interview could either be about the murders he's committed or maybe Cletus was a former patient of the Life Foundation, but the point is that it serves as an introduction to his character.

From there the rest of the movie happens. Eddie investigates the Life Foundation, a woman jumps on him and infects him with the symbiote, he goes back home, goons show up at his house to get it back, he fights them in an action scene which goes from his apartment, to a motorcycle chase to him morphing into Venom etc etc.

We eventually get to the final battle of the movie which is set on a space shuttle launch pad as seen in the trailer. Venom fights Riot who he eventually kills either with the loud noise of the rocket or by another brutal method, but in the process the rocket takes off and the flames burn the symbiote off Brock.

The symbiote is then presumed to be dead and Brock is arrested by the cops for his crimes as Venom. He is then taken back to the prison seen at the beginning of the movie and thrown into the same cell as Cletus Kassidy.

Eddie probably says something like "oh not you again." Cletus then immediately starts wailing on Eddie in the cell.

Then just as it looks like Cletus is about to finish him off he hears a familiar voice inside his head.

"Eddie."

Eddie smiles and his eyes turn black.

Cut to Eminem's Knock Knock Let the Devil In playing over the credits.

Alternatively it ends with a blob of red goo dropping off Venom and latching onto Cletus. He turns into Carnage and then the last shot of the film is the two of them running at one another before it cuts to black ala Amazing Spider-man 2.

I don't wanna look above at what actually happens, but without spoiling can someone please tell me how accurate this was?

@BlackBeltJones - Didn't they like attach a trailer for X-Men for Amazing Spider-Man 2 as well?

Don’t give this film your money. We need to kill this stupid Spider Verse idea. There’s only one universe that matters. That’s the MCU.
