Horror Manga Artist Junji Ito revealed to be a collaborator on the cancelled PS4 Exclusive "Silent Hills".

Some more salt on the wounds of us looking forward to the latest addition to the Silent Hill franchise. Guillermo del Toro revealed on Twitter that famed Japanese Horror Manga artist Junji Ito, whose works include Uzumaki and Gyo, was a collaborator on the cancelled PS4 exclusive: Silent Hills.

The game, which featured the talents of Hideo Kojima (Metal Gear Solid Franchise), Guillermo del Toro (Hellboy franchise, Pan's Labyrinth, Crimson Peak), and Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead, The Boondock Saints), became highly anticipated earlier this year due to the terrifying "Playable Teaser" known as PT. Unfrotunately, due to internal conflicts with publishing company Konami and their shifting focus on mobile and gambling games, Silent Hills was cancelled this past April.

As a gamer and as a fan of the horror genre in generally, it's sad to think of what this game could have been.

Dude, PT looked excellent and could have revived the bloated corpse that is Silent Hill. Big horror games seem to be dead at this point.
