We already had a rough idea of Sonic the Hedgehog's updated design for Paramount Pictures' upcoming video game adaptation thanks to a teaser poster that obscured the character's face, but now thanks to some leaked promo art we finally have a proper look at the little blighter.

Lo and behold, he looks like... a blue, cartoon hedgehog?

In all seriousness, while Sonic does bear a pretty strong resemblance to his video game counterpart here, he does look like he's been spending a bit of time in the gym! It's a choice many fans have taken issue with, but now that Sonic has been revealed in all his glory(?), what do you guys make of him?

Sonic the Hedgehog stars Ben Schwartz as Sonic, James Marsden as Tom Wachowski, Natasha Rothwell in an undisclosed role, Tika Sumpter as Mrs. Wachowski, Neal McDonough in an undisclosed role, Adam Pally in an undisclosed role and Jim Carrey as Dr. Ivo Robotnik. The movie will roll into theaters on November 8, 2019.
