Infamous Marvel villain Omega Red has arrived in Kablam's mobile fighting game, Marvel Contest of Champions. Available today, the new fighter looks to wreak havoc among the roster with his Carbonadium tentacles and deadly spores. A gameplay trailer highlights his in-game move set which is based largely on his comic book superpowers.

Omega Red is the result of the KGB's experiment in creating a supersoldier similar to Captain America during the peak of the Cold War. Russian killer Arkady Rossovich had retractable tentacles made of Carbonadium, the Soviets' attempt to recreate the artificial alloy known as adamantium, implanted in him. But the Carbonadium implants also slowly poison him, requiring him to regularly drain the life energy of a person in order to sustain his immune system. He also boasts superhuman strength, speed, durability, and agility, along with the ability to secrete poisonous death sports that can weaken or kill anyone in the vicinity. Omega Red has a long history of fighting Wolverine and the X-Men.

Check out Omega Red in action in the Marvel Contest of Champions gameplay video below.

Omega Red's full ability list and champion details can be viewed over on his character page. In addition to his deadly move set, Omega Red has synergy bonuses with other characters in the game, including Wolverine and Colossus (Metal Mayhem), Sabertooth and Deadpool (X-Assassins), and Red Hulk and Red Skull (Seeing Red).

Marvel Contest of Champions is a free to play game available on iOS and Android.
