Multiple WARCRAFT Sequels Teased By Film's China Twitter Account

Duncan Jones' Warcraft may not have set the box office on fire here in the United States but it performed the exact opposite in international markets, particularly China. Could a sequel be in the works?

It was a tough year for director Duncan Jones.  He lost his dad, rock icon David Bowie, and saw his passion project, the live-action Warcraft movie open to scathing reviews and an abysmal domestic box office return.  However, the film performed admirably overseas and is still going strong in a few territories.  Will that be enough for Legendary Pictures and Universal to move ahead with a sequel?  If the film's Chinese Twitter account is to be believed, that certainly is the case.

Warcraft arrives in theaters on June 10, 2016.

The film is a 3D epic adventure of world-colliding conflict based upon Blizzard Entertainment’s globally-renowned universe. Directed by Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code) and written by Charles Leavitt and Duncan Jones, the film is a Legendary Pictures, Blizzard Entertainment and Atlas Entertainment production. The producers are Charles Roven, Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, Alex Gartner and Stuart Fenegan. Jillian Share, Brent O’Connor, Michael Morhaime and Paul Sams serve as executive producers. Rob Pardo, Chris Metzen, Nick Carpenter and Rebecca Steel Roven co-produce.
