BOX OFFICE: WONDER WOMAN Continues To Bury THE MUMMY; On Track For $200M Weekend Domestically

BOX OFFICE: WONDER WOMAN Continues To Bury THE MUMMY; On Track For $200M Weekend Domestically

The latest box office numbers are in, and after lassoing an impressive $15.8 million on Friday, it looks like Wonder Woman is on track to dominate its second weekend on release. More past the jump.

Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman took in $15.8 million on Friday, bringing its domestic total to $163.6M. If predictions are correct, this means the critically acclaimed DC movie should cross the $200 million mark on Sunday.

On its second weekend of release, Wonder Woman was hit with a less than 47 percent drop, which is actually one of the lowest drops ever for a superhero tentpole. By stark contrast, The Mummy continues to flounder.

Though the Tom Cruise-lead reboot is still expected to perform fairly well overseas, it only managed to scrape in $12 million on Friday, which means it's looking at a $30 million weekend. This is not a good start to Universal's Dark Universe by any means.

Tell us, have you been to see Wonder Woman and/or The Mummy? What's your take on the vastly different critical and commercial reaction to each?
