Warner Bros.' DC Films Slate Is A Lot Smaller Than The Internet Would Have You Believe

Over the past twelve months or so, we've heard about a lot of upcoming DC Comics movies, including the likes of Black Adam, The Joker, and Deathstroke. Well, it turns out they're not all on the way...

The list of DC Comics adaptations currently in the works at Warner Bros. is staggering. Some are rumoured, others have been semi-announced by the trades, and just as many seem to have writers and directors as those that don't. Well, while the studio may be throwing around a lot of ideas (and seeing what sticks), a new report claims that the official slate is much smaller than we all imagined.

In fact, these are said to be the only movies which are "officially" in the works as or right now:
  • Aquaman
  • Shazam!
  • Wonder Woman 2
  • Suicide Squad 2
  • Flashpoint
  • The Batman
That's not a bad selection by any means but there are a lot of titles missing there, including those mentioned in the teaser above and releases like Justice League Dark, Batgirl, and Green Lantern Corps. It is, however, noted that Man of Steel 2 and Nightwing will likely end up being added to that list.

Finally, it definitely sounds like we're going to start hearing some official news on all of these soon as, "There is a DC news show coming. Similar to DC All Access, but daily and exclusive stuff. Major news will be released through this portal." That's a great idea and could be just what the studio needs. As always, take this report with a pinch of salt for now but be sure to let us know your thoughts below.
