Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot has finally responded to reports that she wouldn't return for the sequel if Brett Ratner, who has been accused of sexual misconduct, remained involved with the franchise.

Warner Bros. has reportedly already broken ties with Ratner and his production company RatPac-Dune Entertainment, who co-financed the original, Gal Gadot has finally cleared the air herself.

Gadot weighed in on the entire situation on the TODAY Show, and confirmed herself that Ratner is no longer involved with the DC film franchise.

"The truth is, there's so many people involved in making this movie. It's not just me, and they all echoed the same sentiments. So everyone knew what the right thing to do, but there was nothing for me to say because it was already done before this article came out," Gadot said.

Warner Bros. recently shifted their calendar around and now Wonder Woman 2 is scheduled to release on November 1, 2019, avoiding direct competition with Disney and Lucasfilm's Star Wars: Episode IX.

Brett Ratner is such a screw up. He went from directing Rush Hour to being a complete hack to being a complete scumbag.

For a long time, and especially in the internet age, the idea has been that open democratized discussion was a panacea. Lies would be exposed by the truth, as long as enough voices were heard.

But maybe (part of) the right response to misinformation (especially intentional misinformation) is individuals exercising a form of self-censorship. To withhold rumors and stories until they're well-founded, and not to just spout off and spread the initial misinformation, even as a means to understand it. Because we can't discuss lies without spreading them, and even the act of disproving them alters the conversation toward the framing of the lies anyway.

There's no easy answer to this, but it's clear there is a vulnerability exposed in that kind of openness. I'm going to have to chew on this...
