We won't be seeing anything from Wonder Woman 1984 at SDCC this year (more on that here), but director Patty Jenkins has lessened the blow by debuting a rather gorgeous first theatrical poster for the DC Comics sequel.

As you can see, the psychedelic one-sheet features Diana (Gal Gadot) sporting an all-new suit of armor, which is considerably different to the costumes she wore in her previous big-screen appearances.

Although it's missing the huge wings, this appears to be a variation on the Golden Eagle armor Wonder Woman has donned in the comics from time to time.

Fast forward to the 1980s as Wonder Woman’s next big screen adventure finds her facing an all-new foe: The Cheetah. Principal photography is underway on Warner Bros. Pictures’ follow up to the Super Hero’s first outing, last summer’s record-breaking “Wonder Woman,” which took in $822 million at the worldwide box office. “Wonder Woman 1984” will also be helmed by acclaimed director Patty Jenkins, and star Gal Gadot in the title role.

What do you guys think of this eye-catching poster? Wonder Woman 1984 hits theaters on June 5, 2020.

Not a fan, not for Wonder Woman. It looks like something you'd see in Thor which is fine for Thor but for wonder Woman, no.

She had Cap's shield in the first movie, which looked like it borrowed heavily from The First Avenger. Now she is wearing an outfit from a Thor movie. What's next? Iron man armor ...or the Hulk?

@76cidgrad - Look I'm the biggest Cap fanboy on earth, but he doesn't own the exclusive rights to having a shield as battle equipment. Now if Diana had thrown that shit then you might have 2% of a point but Greek warriors had shields way before the Star Spangled Avenger.

Hmmmmm, "Cap's shield?"
Where? Point it out?
Oh wait, you think a Greco-Roman warrior who's over 1000 years old doesn't own a shield. Hmmmmmmm.
